Austin Lee Resourcing was established by James Marks and David Barratt, having recognised that there was an opportunity for a boutique consultancy providing the  highest levels of care to both Clients and Candidates alike.

James spent over 10 years with large heavyweight recruiters working with such Clients  as Johnson & Johnson, Vodafone, Royal & Sun Alliance, Shell and Britvic, before acknowledging that he wanted to concentrate on quality of care for Clients and Candidate, rather than numbers of CVs sent out.

David is a seasoned marketer and communications professional, having held senior Client-side management roles for companies like Scholl, LRC Products and Colgate-Palmolive plus with communications companies within the IPG, Havas and Omnicom networks.  As a result, David has a unique understanding of the needs of both Clients  and employees, as they seek to move both businesses and careers forward.
 

The ALR Approach

As a result of the Managing Partners’ joint experience, the ALR team is connected right to the top of many companies in UK, Europe, USA and the Far East. We connect and work with CEOs, MDs and Talent Managers because they know that we understand their businesses and their needs.  We invest a lot of time with whoever the hiring manager is, to understand the skill sets that they need to bring in and they know that we will only put forward appropriate candidates after very careful debate and consideration.  In today's candidate-driven market, our broad experience allows us to give appropriate and credible client endorsement to candidates in order to take them from a passive to an active phase.

For Candidates, we really add value. It’s not just about getting your profile in front of a company; it’s about crafting a strong CV with you, pulling out the important skills for the right role; it’s about prepping even the most senior Candidate on how to present themselves and what to expect.
