Job Details:
Our Client, a global leader in design and manufacturing are currently looking to recruit a Senior Buyer to work across a number of global purchasing projectsYour main responsibilities will include;
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities along with technical and quality requirements.
  • Initiates RFQ’s, evaluates supplier bids and participates in price negotiations.
  • Initiates Contracts, Price Books, Volume Purchasing Agreements with suppliers.
  • Develops alternative products and sourcing options to reduce costs and inventory. Collaborates with Engineering/Quality to for designs. Provides cost analysis reports as required.
  • Orders material to support development and production. Ensure delivery on schedule.
  • Expedites/defers deliveries to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Communicate, review drawings with Engineering and Quality, ensure suppliers understand the required compliant material.
  • Coordinate material return/ replacement and rework/scrap cost reimbursement.
  • Reports purchasing activities to Platform purchasing leader and team
  • Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, develop and execute action plans.
  • Willing to travel
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge Aerospace, Rail or Automotive sectors.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical knowledge (mechanical and/or electronics) and Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Experience with MRP systems
  • Excellent in MS office and communications skills
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
